I saw Joe the first time in church, when I was nine yrs. old.I went home claiming
him as my boy friend. As time went on ,my cousin wanted me to baby sit,as it turned out she married Joe's brother,so I met
Joe again through them, which was several yrs. later. The Lord works in such wonderful ways.We dated 9mos.mostly going to church
,& he ask me to marry him in such an old fashion way, asking me to make tracks around his flour bin. That has been over
65 yrs ago,& we have never been sorry. We would love to see every young couple make that commitment,& do it for
a life time. There is nothing that is more important, than to stay in God's plan for your life ,And marriage is the most essential
of all of God's plans for our lives & the most fulfulling.
We will be married 66 yrs. September 25th.How God has blessed
us in so many ways. Margaret
A Little Treasure
Song By My Brother Tom---Old Pictures and Fond Memories.
Little Treasures!
Our son Phil went to the Fresno Fair, when was a litte boy,
he was looking for a ring for his Mom, which was me.
He told the lady he wanted a ring for his old fashion Mom.
How many mom's have those old fashion rings yrs. later,I am
sure there are many Little Treasures. Here is mine ,which I have had at least 40 yrs.

Thoughts
on the poor.
You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the weathy out of prosperity. What
one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. No government can give anybody anything
that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half the people get the idea that they do not have to work
because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets that it does no good to work because somebody
else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. you cannot multiply
wealth by dividing it ."

Are You Listening??
Looking Back!!!!
I remember walking on hot dusty country roads, stopping in the shady spots to look for
tiny toads, and cool my shoeless feet in the darkness of the grass, and throw a rock at a can or piece of broken glass.
I waded in the diches ,chasing fish or a bull frog, and often caught a lizard as he napped
upon a log.
Played down in the storm pipes with water trickling through, and heard cars pass overhead,I
thought that they would come thru.
On the Ohio we grew up a long time ago,We saw her flood, and take the lives of friends
we used to know.We climbed the bluff's
swam the ponds, and walked up every hill, and no one in the world was like the kids of
Caseyville.
Now looking back is all we have, we dont have far to go.We look at pictures of
the past and friends we used to know,
and though we go back to that spot where we had played before,There's nothing there,it's
changed so much ,and gone foreever more.

God parting the clouds.........Pic. from Ky.
Poem wrote by Darrell Scott, father of Rachel Scott, victim
of the Columbine High school shooting in Littleton,Colorado.
Your laws ignore our deepest needs.
Your words are empty air
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive creed .
And yet you fail understand,
That God is what we need!!

Do you think God's mega -phone is ringing?with the world in such turmoil!!!!
Are you listening ,it is ringing loud & clear.
Ronnie & I grew up in the same neighborhood.
In The Town of Caseyville
Seventy years ago ,there lived in the town of Caseyville,
Along the Ohio River, nestled below the hill,
A group of wonderful people,Whom I will never forget.
Twas a beautiful place to live, I've found no place like it yet.
We only had one church,A Post Office ,and a store,
A two -room elementary school,We had no need for more.
Our neighbors were the Durbins, where we kids used play .
Such a great and loving family,I remember, yet today.
Those kids I used to play with,I have such a memory
I often wish I could recall ,those days of use to be.
Margaret ,Mary ,Billy And Tom, TommyDee and Billy L;
Roy Lee and James & Mary Jo,And Lorene and Georgia Nell.
Charles Jesse ,Geneva and David, their cousins Scrap Iron& Bill
Upon the hill the pierson kids,The children of Bently and Willie.
The Owen girls and the Butts boys,At the top of the hill,
Junie ,Jewel and Dumpy Steward,I remember these kids still.
The Chambliss kids from Smokey Row,By the waterfalls & Bluff,The Days and
the Coopers,If I know my stuff.
downtown David and Marcella, the Ruff girls and Randall Jones.
The farmer boys and Stewards, and the Ledbetters I have k
Although my mind is slipping I still remember well,
So many of the old town folk, theres not enough room to tell.
Bob Buckham, Firpo and Bad-eye,all sitting in the shade
Miss Rudy McIntre, Who taught me the first four grades.
Those days & months & years went by,and those people are gone away. Some have
died ,some have moved.
The town's is not the same today.
There's still that road to the river, there's still the bluff's & the hill,There's still
my memory of those days,In the Town of Caseyville.

Courtney & Westley working hard.
Home
Our great grandchildren came up from Los Angeles to help their grandparents gather up
firewood.They drove up from
L.A. & their parents went to New York on a business trip.
They all got home about the same time after a week of being
gone, they were so excited, hugging each other saying " We're Home".
Our Eternal Home.
It brought to mind about our eternal Home. What a Joy to be Home.To see our Savior face
to face. Can you imagine what a homecoming that will be.Joe & I arent far from that Home Called Heaven,We want to
see all our loved ones there.Margaret
What Price Freedom
Our Nation would be an awful place,I think you would agree,
Without our friends and loved ones, and life in a land that's free.
Yet we take our life for granted, that God gives us every day.
While soldiers die that we might live, the great American Way.
Politicians in Washington, never give them what is due.
So I ask what price is freedom,For them ,for me ,for you?
Everytime our brave soldiers,go to fight for you and me,
Why not send a politician,so they could truly see.

The Journey in Life.
The Journey in life is filled with many adventures,
beginings and endings,
Our footsteps take many paths, there is always someone
walking in our footsteps. We need to try and take the right paths.
Sometime we fail but we have the choice to correct our path
and make a clearer one for those who follow.

Give
Me Your Flowers!!!
I would rather have one little rose,
from the garden of a friend,
Than to have the choicest flowers
When my stay on earth must end.
I would rather have a pleasant word,
In kindness said to me,
Than flattery when my heart is still.
And this life ceased to be.
I would rather have a loving smile,
from friends I know are true,
Than tears around my casket,
When this world I bid adieu.
Bring me all the flowers today,
Whether pink or white or red;
I'd rather have one blossom now
Than a truckload whem I'm dead.
Wasted Years !!!
Wasted years, Oh how long those years have been,
when there could have been so many wonderful memiores made.
Life is so short and so many tears have fallen, and the bottle
of tears is almost full. Margaret .
The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore.
America the beautiful ,or so it used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;I'm glad they'll never see.
Babies piled in dumpsters, Abortion on demand,
Oh,sweet land of liberty, your house is on the sand.
Our children wander aimlessly, poisoned by cocaine,
Chooing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain.
From sea to shining sea, our Nation turns away,
From the teaching of God's love, and a need to always pray.
We've kelp God in our temples, how callous we have grown.
Whe earth is but His footstool, and Heaven is His throne.
We've voted in a government, that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless judges, who throw reason out the door,
Too soft to place a killer in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby ,before he leaves the womb.
You think that God's not angry, that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait, before His judgment comes?
How are we going to face our God, from whom we cannot hide?
What then is left to do, but sten this evil tide?
If we who are His children,will humbly turn & pray;
Seek His holy face and mend our evil way;
Then God will hear from heaven, and forgive our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land, and those who live within.
But ,America the Beautiful, if you dont-then you will see,
A sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from Thee.

The definition of Nihilism!!!!
A belief in nothing ,System seeking to over turn all

Spring has come once again ,look at my flowers.
Life's Scraps
When years elapse,it may perhaps
Delight us to review these scraps,
And live again mid scenes so gay
That time's rough hand has swept away.
And when the eye ,bedimmed with age,
Shall rest upon each treasured page,
Those pleasant hours which once were ours
Shall come again like autumn flowers,
to bloom and smile upon us here
When all things else seem sad and drear.
twill tune our hearts and make them sing,
And turn the autumn into spring.

Food
for Thought
Let your deeds ,follow your words!!
Bad Company ,corrupts good manners!!
The lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs
in a scorched land and will strenghten your frame,
You will be like a well watered garden.

The way of the cross leads Home!
"My most cherished possession,I wish I could leave you

you can be happy, but without Him and all else you will
We rented a little potatoe house we paid $4.00 a mo. & lived there 6 months. The
potatoe house was where they stored potatoes .Since I was so young,it was like playing house.& I think I had a good start
on keeping a neat house..I have always loved & never felt I wanted to do any thing else.It was a joy to be with my kids
& see all their needs were met.Any way we had family close by & felt we had a support system. But we finally decided
to come to California & it has been the best thing we ever did.We rented in town for a few yrs. The Lord led us to a lovely
area& our first nice home. Our kids were in wonderful schools & most mothers stayed home, as I did.We lived there for
14 yrs.,& decided to get out in the country where it was good for our kids & we could work in the soil.Well we bought
the land ,which had Fig trees on it ,so we dug the trees out by hand, a shovel & a pickup. We finally got to the
point, where we could start building. We could see the Lord working in all of it.So we have been here 40 yrs. & so
blessed in God's little piece of land.Well the yrs. have went so fast, our kids are all grown & gone to care for their
families. We are by yourselves again, so I am still loving those things that are dear to me ,& my wonderful husband who
has been by my side through it all. This little note is anointed to all those that read this,& can find that special path
through God's world & find that path that we found through life.God Bless You All. Margaret
