The Importance of the marriage Vow!!!

We have heard so many times ,the worst thing anyone can do is marry young. We see the young people in a complete state of confusion on marriage today. It greeves me to see how they think living together first is the answer to making a marriage work later. The bible is so clear on living together before marriage(it is called fornication). It says nothing about commitment ,loving & caring for one another through out life & it is a life time commitment.
You know things change & how we handle things now ,can make a world of difference,in our life later .So much regret &
wishing we  had done things different. You have to live with those
regrets,no bringing it back ,& doing it different.
We have tried to live our life, understanding God was in control,
we have seen Him work in our lives so many times & always
aware that He was with us.We made that commitment long ago
& God has been faithful & His promises are true.

Love Trust and Faith in one another helps to build a good marriage.

                 Questions to ask!!
Do I love this person more than myself ?
Do I trust him or her, that they will be faithful and true?
Do we believe in God?
Are we equally yolked?
These are a few steps  to the start of a good marriage.

A Little Faith & 50 Lbs. of lard!!

We had been married 3 yrs. ,when Joe's sister came back to Ky.& persuded us to go back to California .In two wks. time ,we sold our house, furniture & told all bye & took off like we were going to the next town.I had no idea we were going so far from family. It had to be the Lord leading us ,because we have never been sorry we came here.
We came with our personal belongings & 50 lbs. of lard,it was ration then ,what we would do with that much lard ,only the good Lord knows. It was all packed in our 1930 Model A Ford,4 days after we got here ,we found out I was pregnant with our first baby.

                                 Quick Sand

We often wonder why some will take a chance & try to walk through quick sand.God gave us a choice & we have such a stubborn will ,we have to do it our way ,no matter what advice is given to us.HOW FOOLISH !! Why not take the advice & go around, this applys to fornication & adultry.Lord help each one to make a wise decision.  Margaret

                                    A  KEEPER...
It was a way of life,& sometimes it made me crazy. All the refixing ,reheating, renewing.
I wanted just once to be wasteful.Waste meant affluence.
Throwing things away, meant you knew there would always be more.
But then my Mother died,& on that clear summer's night ,
in the warmth of the hospital room,I was struck with the pain of learning
that sometimes, there isnt any more.
Sometimes what we care about most gets all used up & goes away...
Never to return,So...While we have it ...it's best to love it,& care for it..
& fix it when it is broken,& care for it when it is sick.
This is true...for marriage...old cars..& children with bad report cards
& dogs with bad hips..& aging parents...& grandparents.
We keep them because they are worth it,because we are worth it.
some things we keep. There are some things that make life important,
like people we know who are special,So keep them close.
